Our home on campus since 2004.  Five Hundred (500) University Avenue is a state of the art building housing the Departments of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy & Occupational Science and the Rehabilitation Sciences Institute (RSI).

We have come a long way from the initiation of PT and OT courses at the University of Toronto.  In response to the war emergencies, a PT course ran from 1917 - 1919 and an OT course from 1918 - 1919.

The 2-year OT Diploma course began at U of T in 1926 and the 2-year Physiotherapy Diploma course began in 1929. Both programs were within the Department of University Extension.

The entry-to-practice criteria have changed many times over the years from a Diploma program, through combined and separate programs up to the present which sees separate departments granting MScPT and MScOT degrees as the requirement for entry-to-practice.

At University of Toronto, Physical and Occupational Therapy graduates are automatically proud members of our Alumni.
